Both teams seem to commit far more players into the opposition box than we do. Seen this in other games as well. Other than the final 15 minutes of games we only ever seem to have a couple of players in the box.

That's how we created the Clarke chance against Everton too, it was pretty much the only time we moved the ball quickly enough to allow Burns to run onto a pass played into space. |  | | |

Wikipedia reports that the Telegraph reports that (I know, I know.....) the actual fee was some £15m rather than the £35m figure that he was apparently initially reported to have gone for. A lot of he said, she said, but he may well have been within our price range. I guess we spent our money and made our choices, and we just have to back Kieran to turn enough of them into world beaters! Early days but I am really not convinced at all by Clarke/Davis down that left hand side. Agree with you on Szmodics, and also think we are trying to play it around too much if we get anywhere near the goal.
Obviously it was a different calibre of opposition the last 2 seasons, but we would be much more direct and shoot from distance often bringing rewards. |  | | |
