Teams That Ipswich Town Have Played Against in Europe
A new type of quiz (Sudden Death) has popped up on the JetPunk website so I thought I would make an ITFC one using this format.
The names of all 28 teams that we've faced in the European Cup, UEFA Cup and Cup Winners' Cup are shown, as well as 24 that we haven't played in Europe. It is simply a case of clicking/tapping the correct teams and avoiding the incorrect answers — as it is sudden death, if you do select a wrong answer, the quiz will be over! So think and click carefully...
There are six minutes to try and get them all, but do let me know whether or not this time limit is a bit restrictive.

Just bumping this to ask what people think of some of the team name spellings I chose for the quiz, i.e. Aris Salonika instead of Aris Thessaloniki or simply Aris, Bohemians Prague instead of Bohemians Praha or Bohemians 1905 and FC Cologne instead of 1. FC Köln. The first options are what we would have known them as when we played them (or perhaps didn't...) and those are what I ultimately went for, whereas the second options are more akin to the names they are known by in their native countries.

I think it was best to stick with the names we knew at the time. Some have changed since, FK Sartid among them I think, so makes sense to stick with how they were known. |  | | |

Although I definitely would have been there, the match against Grasshoppers has been completely wiped from my memory!
Had to check and it was in 1979. We drew 1-1 at Portman Road and lost on away goals.

Was pretty confident I’d get the lot, but mixed up my Grasshoppers of Zurich with FC Zurich and wasn’t confident enough about FK Sartid.

I wonder how many of them won the leg at Portman Rd?……

And thanks for sharing that — I had a go at it and eventually managed 15/20. I tried D** B*** but apparently he never made a senior appearance for Spurs. There were one or two I perhaps ought to have got but it was definitely a tough one.
I wonder how many pre-1992 players appeared for both clubs? Brazil is probably the most obvious one. | |

According to Soccerbase, he made one in the UEFA Cup (only just remembered this thread!). Wikipedia only includes league games for reasons best known to itself. | | | |
