Cambridge City FC 13:24 - Nov 30 with 1728 viewsBLUEBEAT

Anyone else going to their first league home match in their new stadium today?

I think it’s been a 13 year wait after selling the central city site and having to groundshare at the Histon and St Ives clubs.

Playing Tilbury who banged in 5 during their last game I’m told 😆

Strange to think that up until the 70s, City were the leading club and best supported of the Cambridge sides.

They were also ITFC's original big rivals pre football league status.

Whereabouts is their new ground?

Completely off topic really buy you reminded me of my old save on LMA Manager 2004 where I took Cambridge City to the Champions League title.

From memory I had built them a 70,000 seater stadium by the time I was done.

My hobbies include being quiet during trips, clapping with songs, and diabetes.

Me and Basuco the even younger were going last week, then we realised it was this week. Shame.

God LMA Manager was a classic. Such amazing core memories of playing that. Lee Crooks score the winner in the FA Cup final for me for town.

1:0 Half time.
Shane Temple.

An enjoyable game but a shame that Tilbury ended up winners (1-2)

At least a Cambridge City player had the privilege of scoring the first ever goal at their new home

So Cambridge City aren't now in the city, I guess it's the way stadiums are going

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Yep

But Sawston is pretty much joined onto Great Shelford and Great Shelford is pretty much joined onto Trumpington and Trumpington is pretty much joined onto Cambridge 😆
