I’d like all the East Anglian teams to do well. As long as we beat them on derby day, anything else they do doesn’t affect us.
Edit - any fan who says they wouldn’t want a derby match is probably lying to themselves. As much as they can be unpredictable we’re currently on the wrong side of them, a PL derby would be a great spectacle. [Post edited 7 Dec 2024 22:16]

I’ll be out on my own in thinking it’s a bit sad. For the benefit of the wider region I’d like as many East Anglian teams as possible to do well. But they’re definitely in decline. And will be further once they have to sell more players. Oh well. |

I’d have thought that was obvious. Derby wins are some of the best occasions for us fans. To win a derby match, we both have to be in the same league (or rely on the fall of the balls in a cup draw). Even the rivalry in the first place only comes from playing each other regularly, which you can only do in the same league. If Norwich were constantly in leagues below us, there wouldn’t even be a rivalry. Nobody talks about the great Ipswich v Stowmarket derbies, do they? | |
