Films of the year 11:21 - Dec 19 with 773 views | unbelievablue | Inspired by the music recs thread, how about the best films you've seen this year? Here's a few of mine, some of which feel like 2023 but google reliably informs me were released in 2024 in the UK. Hopefully something for everyone in there. - The Zone of Interest - The Holdovers (ideal for Xmas) - La Chimera - Love Lies Bleeding - Juror #2 - Trap - Challengers - Conclave - Do Not Expect Too Much from the End of the World - The Settlers - Heretic - Kneecap

I recently rewatched Pulp Fiction. Still mesmerized by its brilliance

Films of the year on 13:14 - Dec 19 with 571 views | CaptainAhab | Dune part 2 for me, I don't think I've ever seen movies quite as immersive as the recent Dune adaptations. Also I was surprised by My Old Ass on prime, very enjoyable and strangely moving. I've been recommending it lots recently. I'm normally a horror buff and Late Night with the Devil was probably the best horror I saw, very entertaining.
