Not needing a striker 09:27 - Dec 22 with 3430 viewsFrimleyBlue

Seen in mentioned a couple of times but can't see it online as a quote.. is that something someone from the club has come out with or what someone outside the club has said we don't need..

a niche perspective

I think that’s Mills’ point. The forwards actually are making opportunities. The midfield is weak. Given resources are finite, which way do you go? Mills didn’t know, but he made an interesting discussion point. The majority view on here seems to be that our appearance record holder and ex-England international talking out of his rear end.

Fair enough, it’s all about opinions.

Personally we need to find a mobile creative central midfielder. Who. No idea. But that someone needs to partner cajuste so we have natural speed and mobility in the central positions who can get the game spread quickly when we've got round a press. They're intent on going forwards. Rarely want to go back and can ping passes left right and put strikers in on goal with a pin point ball down the middle.

That's the profile for that area.

Priorities
We need goals
Striker - AAH gets loaned now and next season
RW - Ogbene de register this season

Less priority
Foward 10 - combine with RW role or Broadhead loan for games (outside chance Jack Clarke loan)?

Nice to do
CB hybrid wing back - if Tuanzebe is not fit
CMf - I don’t know how to create the space

Not really sure about this reasoning, it would mean that nobody who hasn't played in the PL could make the step up but we know that's not the case.

Maybe Hirst can't but I think he's looked decent in the few minutes he's had.

Ok, to put it more simply, he’s made of glass and (not his fault) it’s a liability having him as the second striker.
Bringing in Jack Clarke for example, to me, seems a waste of time/money, all focus should have been on a striker to give us half a chance.

We’ll be good again... one day
