Tell you what … 18:46 - Jan 16 with 684 viewsVic

if we win tonight I’ll be pretty confident that we’ll stay up.

Anyone else feel like this?

I am fairly confident we will stay up anyway. Tonight is a game we can win and I am hopeful we should get at least a point. However, even if we lose today I put us in an OK position to stay up.

Never been in doubt for me. It was always going to be a slow burn with the way the system is set up ie: transfers until the end of August, needing to buy half a team and the international breaks. The idea of a team “gelling” is a thing despite the ridicule that went with it years ago and brining 12 players in takes time to get in a rhythm. We’ve turned a corner for sure and I’m confident we’ll kick in and achieve another 20 points or so.

A win tonight and against Southampton would give us a real fighting chance.

Nope. It doesn’t take many results for the table to look very different and there’ll be plenty of twists and turns til the end. We won 7 out of 8 at this time of the year in 01/02 and still went down.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

Weren't we in a far worse position than now when going on that run?

Yep, I hear that but it would consolidate the recent upturn in results and show confirm to everyone (players, opposition teams and us as fans) that we are the real deal in this division.

We were, but it shows anyone can put a little run together and form can change quickly. There’s far too much football left to read too much into tonight’s result. A win would be nice though!
