Completely understand why Muric was dropped, but Walton's distribution was a huge issue tonight. Going long sometimes is necessary, but the vast majority of his kicks were just rushed and aimless.
As a result we just kept giving them the ball back and were unable to create any momentum at all.
You therefore need the front 3 to be almost perfect on the rare occasions they get the ball. That worked against Fulham and Chelsea, but we didn't click at all tonight, and after first goal brighton just coasted it. |  |

Walton should have saved the all important first goal. It was not a great finish from Mitoma and depite Leif blocking his view a little, he still should have kept it out. Poor goalkeeping. |
