That has nothing to do with your original post. We're in the Premier League, and we've competed in more games than not. We've also won some games. So that addresses your original post.
Today we were outclassed, as expected. Would I have liked to have seen more 'fight' earlier in the game? Maybe, but not through dodgy tackles if that's what you mean, and not if it meant we ended up on the receiving end of a complete thrashing.
This game will not mean the difference between survival and relegation - it will be the games we play against others in the survival mini-league. As posted elsewhere, if we beat Southampton next week, that is progress towards survival. |
So losing 6 points with a whimper will not affect our survival?
We have seen what happens against the teams around us how many points have we picked up there? If we are going down at least show a bit of fight and go down with up our heads held high!

I think the issue is we our progress was too quick for our scouting team and academy to develop. We've had no academy player in the last two squads, and we're having to overpay for young British talent because we cannot exploit the overseas market like Brighton, Bournemouth, Brentford and Forest, for example, can. And we're getting less value for money - Delap aside - in the process. |
Think you're spot on, especially with the scouting network - a number of smaller PL clubs appear to rely on scouting alone currently.
We've paid top dollar for top home-grown Championship talent, when the gap between the Championship and PL is enormous. We should be rewarded for it next season if this one doesn't go our way, making the strategy less risky overall (even if we have paid top dollar at times). | | | |
