Did the Leicester result relegate us today? Some of the reaction on here feels like it must have.

Fundamentally very little has changed, we’re still in close touch with 17th, one win and defeats for Wolves and Leicester switches everything again but won’t decide the season yet.

It’s not as if teams around us weren’t going to win another game this season, we have to focus on what we can control and influence.

Of course not, but the pressure is building on the game against Soton and we've seen a McKenna team that's lately been playing a bit within itself.

Success will come down to the result in a handful of games, one of which is coming up next and I think its fair to say some of the players are not exactly brimming with confidence. Understandable that fans are also a little on edge and the forum is a good place to air that, but def still all within our control.

The Southampton game is season defining regardless. Win that game and we drag Everton back into the relegation mix, maybe even Tottenham.

Good thing is that Southampton will be playing for the win also. A draw is (pretty much) useless to them.

If we are relegated it will be our results that do it, not Leicester City’s. It’s on us.

If we only draw, wait for the usual suspects on here to say.. “still only x points from safety, didn’t lose much ground really” etc.

Has anyone even remotely implied that their result has relegated us?

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

Not being negative but for me we haven't really got going this season competitive in some but one step forward two back,
I never thought any different it's been harder than I thought,
My take on Saturday win and we're in a big fight have a chance,
Draw we're hanging,
Lose all confidence will drain and I don't see to much of away back,
We don't have any breathing space before spurs who will have players back our luck, and man u who wed get a point at best there, but we would have to be so in our game and I haven't seen that for a long time, imperative the Brighton guy starts even if he only last 55 minutes looks a footballer that one,

It's a nice thought but Everton would still be at least 4 points in front of us, that isn't dragging them into anything unfortunately.

Everton are at home to Leicester, so if the poster is implying Everton lose then Leicester win so doesn't help the cause, as said Everton would still be points in front of us, they still have to play Liverpool twice so could be a good thing,

Exactly, the only thing that has changed lately is that it looks like a 3 horse race for 17. It had looked like Leicester were hopeless, but anyway, if we don't finish above Leicester we are down and if we don't pick up any more wins we are down, but we knew all that before.

Because we will be. Literally.

What do you want people to say if we draw? That we’re relegated?

The team has been playing within themselves mostly due to the fact that we’ve played Brighton, Man City and Liverpool. Two world class teams and a team which isn’t far off the top 6.

If we are dominated by Southampton then that’s the time to be worried but I think that the team will play much more aggressively against them.

Just for the sake of clarity, if that draw takes us out of the bottom three is it still compulsory to wet ourselves, berate the team, and generally act like the world is ending?

You know, normal fan ‘real-time’ reactions.
