Quite possibly the UK's biggest act of self harm.

How could anyone think that the country would become more prosperous through throwing away a frictionless trade agreement with its nearest neighbour. A neighbour that happens to be one of the biggest trading blocks in the world.

There is no other possible trade agreement that could match or improve upon the one the UK had with Europe.

It is because of your last line that it should never have been put to a popular vote. Then the PM who did so ran away from the outcome because he knew the disaster he had enforced.

The first nation to impose sanctions on itself

Not really , remaining in the EU imposes way more. Just repeating a James O'Brien slogan.

Odd take.

Which trade deals do we now have that are better than those we had whilst within the EU and how do they begin to make up for the lost trade and extra cost of that trade with the EU?

Australia, New Zealand, CPTTP,Singapore, Ukraine currently negotiating,
India, Israel, Turkey,South Korea, Switzerland, Oman , Kuwait, Quatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Future possibles could include Canada, Maldives, Mexico US.
and to top it off a trade agreement with the EU which gives tariff free access to the single market.

So we've had no agreements for over 5 years and nothing currently agreed going forward.

How much better are those deals than those we had whilst in the EU?

How much does that make up for the loss of trade with the EU?

Try again.
