Want to thank anonymous helper 08:59 - Feb 9 with 4692 views | BaltachaFanClub | Hi all, So, yesterday at the match I was heading up the steps around 25mins into first half and tripped on the top step. With no hand rail to guide myself I hit the floor pretty hard, got to my feet and carried on. But I couldn’t carry on, I had aggravated an old back injury. A very kind man helped me down the stairs and I was greeted my a steward, then a medical team who looked after me incredibly well. I missed the Jack Clarke goals but amazingly was back in my seat for the second half. I am in a lot of pain today, and am considering a hospital visit as I am currently still in Coventry, and 3 hours from home. If anyone saw me fall (Entrance 9/10) and could identify the chap who helped please can you thank them for me. I am afraid I cannot even describe the fellow as I was bewildered.

Glad that was your second thought, mate 😂 I reckon I will miss the spurs game, possibly the Forest game too. If it’s the case, am I to assume you may be interested?

To be fair he resisted explicitly stating the thought "can I have the ticket?" If there were 4 of you together unable to make it ... Oh, hope you are feeling better and soon back to 100%. [Post edited 11 Feb 19:14]

Cheers. Been signed off for a while, now need a walking stick to even stand. Got medical assessments next week, and a bag of pills that would fit nicely in any episode of Brassic. Positive mental attitude is now my most useful tool. I think I might get really bored at home for a while

At least they are all oral ... unless you have got suppositories too! If you need anything to help with the positive mental attitude give us a shout.

If any of them are gabapentin try to resist taking them IMHO. Edit....diazepam on the other hand. [Post edited 11 Feb 22:21]

I am sure that is well-intentioned advice but mine would be take what is prescribed if you need to. Be aware of potential side effects and contact medical support (pharmacist, doctor, etc) if you need to.

Just my experience from repeated episodes of lower back pain for which I was prescribed both of the above. The mental space that gabapentin put me in for the few days I took it was something else and I have read that it is terrible to stop. Diazapam however in small amounts when muscles are in spasm was just the job. My main advice though would be to walk as far as you can without overdoing it.
