Probably a few sliding doors moments in which he could have ended up with us over the past few years, but thought he was quite comfortably Villa’s best player yesterday and looks like he could be a superstar. All of the technique, skill and pace, but also seems to really well built for that advanced midfield role at this level. Him and Omari together at some point would have been dreamy.

As an aside, Lincoln had a season with him, Brennan Johnson and Alex Palmer in goal at league one level!

I remember watching our home game against them that season on iFollow. Rogers played left wing and was totally unplayable, gave Luke Chambers a torrid time. Their right winger did the exact same thing to Myles Kenlock, I couldn’t remember his name but looked it up earlier and it was Brennan Johnson. It initially looked like they would just repeatedly breach our defence and get four or five but had no end product and we scraped a 1-1 draw thanks to a James Wilson header. I was so happy with a 1-1 draw at home to Lincoln City. Now we are playing Morgan Rogers and Brennan Johnson at their best and still getting results. How far we’ve come!

They'd all laugh at me if they knew what I was trying to do. To create a new strain of super-wine in half-an-hour with a fraction of nature's resources and a FOOL for an assistant. 'Bernard Black, he's mad,' they'd say, 'he's insane, he's dangerous.' Well I'll show them! I'll show them all!

Tom Hopper up front, just moved from Colchester to Southend, and Scully came on I think, now at Colchester. (Clearly a Cowley favourite). I certainly wouldn’t fancy those Town full-backs against those Lincoln wide players. Lincoln’s left-back, Cohen Bramall, was also lightening quick. Maybe he still is, - he’s at Portsmouth these days.

A deal was lined up on January deadline day whilst we was in League 1 and he was at Bournemouth on loan.

Poll: We’ve got super KM, he knows exactly what we need. Woolfie at the back…
