Once the gnashing of teeth has stopped... 16:59 - Feb 22 with 697 viewsNthQldITFC

...I really hope people can see so many of the very good things about today's performance. We really took that to Spurs for a lot of the game and created a lot of half decent chances, Hutch and Philogene were excellent in patches, Phillips was great, defence was mostly solid apart from the obvious problems down the right in the first half (you can still say that after conceding 4 if you've got your eyes open). And we fought right to the end. It bodes very well for the future.

Is it wrong that I just want this season to end now.

Let's get these lads training together. Playing some friendlies and winning some matches and try again in 26/27 with another year of football in these young players legs.

Yeah, certainly not a result that tells the whole story. Really thought we were going to bring it back to 2-2.

Agreed. I find myself thinking ... how did that happen, as I thought we played well a lot of that game. We lacked that killer touch though didn't we.

Thought Phillips was immense today

Yes it's wrong - these lads can still escape relegation, looking tougher after today, but it only takes a couple of weeks to go our way still. Also, the experience they're getting now, whatever division we're in next season, is brilliant for their development.

Think today was that game that showed the difference between champ and prem.

In champ we win that with ease imo
And despite being really chuffed with how we played today we lost 1-4

It's quite sickening how much quality you actually have to have to do more than just compete In this league

All true, but we've been here several times before at home this season right from Fulham at home. We haven't progressed into translating that into wins.
