Half of you on here don't deserve this club and manager 22:59 - Feb 26 with 3118 views | jasondozzell | Show some respect rather than picking over it all like vultures. Tonight probably ends it but we've had a good go in the toughest league after an unbelievable few seasons playing brilliant football. We've shown great spirit and resolve, some great play, but we just aren't able to capitalise on so much that we do well. Club is in rude health and the championship is superior league anyway Players and KM have given everything and I'm proud of them.

In isolation, it feels a disappointing season. But a football clubs success isn’t linear, it never has been it never will be. There will always be bad moments - but that’s all this is, a moment. We’ll drop down, we really need a successful summer, settling on a group for the next phase of the journey, and we will attack the Championship with humility but confidence - make no mistake the Premier League is where we want to be though. One thing is for certain though, this manager and club deserve the supporters unwavering support.

I don't think many (if any) are saying he should be sacked etc, but McKenna tonight has had a nightmare. The subs have barely worked all season. Recruitment hasn't been great. We are arguably getting worse than we were earlier on in the season. Earlier on we were "giving it a go". The last few months, we've been really bad. We are the gift that keep on giving to these Premier League teams the last few months. if you're in poor form, just play us. [Post edited 26 Feb 23:50]

We are picking it apart because we were terrible. McKenna also picked apart the second half for the same reason. What kind of response do you expect on a forum after such a poor showing?

No problem with that but people saying KM is out of his depth, that we are gutless and have been pure garbage all season , moaning about Morsy, a poll asking if we'd be better off if KM had gone to Brighton etc doesn't sit well. Incredibly frustrating second half. We should have won the game. But can't help feel a large section of support has totally lost sight of the context behind this season and the club's direction. How many of them were here when things actually were pure garbage and gutless? [Post edited 27 Feb 6:35]

Well I was👍 However whatever gloss you try and put on it though we are now one of the softest teams around! After all the stats don’t lie do they? They are all there to be looked at.

If people could keep their comments in one chain it would be easier to review and discuss them but the totally random series of tweets and threads makes it impossible to rationally react. Social media operates as though everyone talks over each other until someone effects shouts STOP. Then everyone piles on to them. I don’t agree with the OP headline but I did agree with most of what you are saying. However it took me two pages to get to anyone that had actually defined what KMCk had done poorly tonight and then went on to complain about our transfers. I guess we pull MA into why we lost to an abject MU on a horrible night in Feb.

100% agree on this. I've said it before (and got pretty firmly rejected) that having single threads on topics would make things much easier. One inflammatory thread becomes just one comment in a much larger thread.

Yeah think that's a fair point. But we don't half have some really entitled fans. Even before the game at Old Trafford heard people slagging off the league one players as not good enough, Philogene a total waste of money, Deadwood needing clearing out etc. the Al Hamadi reaction a great example. Just so much ignorance. Of course some players were going to find premier League football a huge challenge. It's not really a 'gotcha' to point that out. As soon as we've found this league a struggle feels like people can't wait to get the pitchforks out. I don't understand it. I've no problem with criticism re the game. It was a very poor second half and the goals from set pieces not good though. But to have people doing polls about whether we'd have been better off if KM had gone to Brighton...Christ. Maybe a little period of suffering is no bad thing for us. Football isn't always a fairytale. We should be competitive in championship but people shouldn't be thinking that top two is nailed on at all. The reality is that we've still outperformed expectations in not being bottom or cut adrift early this season. People may not like that but it's the truth. Ironically it's the one time when the be careful what you wish might finally apply. I hope we can keep KM. [Post edited 27 Feb 13:42]
