If you could keep only one for the champ next season, who would you rather?

Seems Cajuste can walk on water, is he really that good. I don't see enough of the team in live action to make judgment.

That I can ascertain is Delap has done for us what Puskas did for Hungary in the 1950's. Well maybe not to quite such an extent, but Can't recall a single forward having such a profound effect at Portman Road for quite some time. The kid's been immense, has scored goals, makes goals, even his presence on the field seems to provide the team a lift or inspires players around him. Without him we'd be a (already) relegated club team now.

For that reason got to vote for the latter but if Cajuste really is as great as some insist then it's all well and good.

Cajuste - That's the level you can get to with one season of hard work and coaching by KM.

Class player.

This thread is mental to me im sorry.

Liam Delap has scored double figures goals in the premier league, playing for a team who hardly create any chances and he will likely go to a top 6 club in the summer for a huge fee. Yes he has been frustrating recently, but so has the whole team. Cajuste is great but this seems a little bit silly.

Delap is the answer. Obviously.

The difference is we’re not going to see any financial return on Cajuste. Whereas Delap, that’s £25-30million added to the bank. We also know that we have a proven Championship striker in Hirst ready to come back in. Our central midfield will need completely revamping and Cajuste is on a different level. So, the answer is Cajuste.

Spot on, Delap is great but having a midfield like Cajuste at that level would be amazing. That said he rarely lasts 90 mins over 38 games where it will be constant Saturday/Tuesday next season.

Also Hirst does always seem to pick up one bad injury, but we have Szmodics.

I took that question purely as if you could pick a player who would it be. Would be a bit pointless if it was about finances as well given we don’t own Cajuste ?

6 weeks ago this thread would be saying what a crazy question the answer is obviously Delap.a few bad performances and now everyone has seemed to move on. Just stinks of recency bias to me.

Poll: Will Paul Lambert be Ipswich Town manager on the final day of this season ?

I took the question as how would it benefit us overall.

So we have a choice between Delap and no Cajuste, or Cajuste (minus £10 million for the agreed fee) with no Delap (plus at least £20 million profit)?

Cajuste for me.
