Woolfy never passed to Philogene 10:02 - Mar 16 with 1045 views | jungleboy | Yesterday Woolfy must have had the ball at his feet over 20 times but ALWAYS passed left looking for Davis. Philogene was free on the right unmarked for the whole first half yet Woolfy did not pass to him once. All this criticism of Philogene is unfair if the team won't pass to him!

Woolfy never passed to Philogene on 10:13 - Mar 16 with 937 views | textbackup | Why would any player looking to retain that ball pass to a player that will lose it? The money we’ve spent this year on a few of them players is a real worry.

Woolfy never passed to Philogene on 10:15 - Mar 16 with 919 views | Kieran_Knows | Or how about the shrinking violet, Phillips? I lost count the amount of times Woolfenden, Greaves and Burgess stepped out of defence with the ball, with Phillips in acres of space to receive the ball on the half turn to get us going in attack, but he just shied away from it every single time. Absolutely pathetic from him.

Or enciso (spelling) passing the ball 5 yards to a Forest player on a few occasions. Should stick to making TikTok’s with his missus

Don’t get me started on him, he’s been just as underwhelming as the others to be honest.

Woolfy never passed to Philogene on 10:20 - Mar 16 with 820 views | DJR | I don't think Woolfy passed it to directly Davis. Instead, he tended to play it to Greaves, I think because there was more space on the left hand side. And if he had played it right, he would have passed it first to O'Shea., rather than directly to Philogene.

He's used O'Shea before, when Hutchinson was on the right. It seemed to be another tactical decision as, if not, you would have thought McKenna would have got the message out to spread the ball around.

Woolfy never passed to Philogene on 10:26 - Mar 16 with 735 views | mellowblue | naive viewpoint. Thw whole point is to get the ball where the space and opportunity is and where the cover isn't. That is always on the opposite flank to where the ball is. What Wolfie is doing is correct. If Wolf has the ball on the right hand side of the pitch the cover has already shuffled to that side so Philigne don't have the space to operate. Where it is wrong is the converse. If the ball is on the left it needs to go right but Greaves is pre-programmed to always find Leif who is blocked by cover and it goes sideways or back. If anything we are releasing it to the wide players to early in areas where they cannot do damage. What we miss is Morsy's little darting runs forward before releasing wide to the wide guys further up the pitch at a point where it is a mid-range ball that won't so easily be intercepted. But what works in the Champ doesn't necessarily work in the Prem due to to the fitness and athleticism of the oppo press (and Morsy's legs starting to fade).
