Preston competed well for the 20 mins of the first half although had little of the game. But second half they’ve been taken to the cleaners.

No one in the Championship is presently good enough for the Premier League, the gaps just too large now and will only be wider next season.

The bottom three this season are examples of this.

Yes, we’ve noticed the three promoted sides (by a country mile bar Leeds) from last year have struggled. Even so, a rather unnecessary little dig at Ipswich in addition to putting the boot in on Clarke on another thread.

I’d have thought you’d be a bit more cheerful after a great win v West Brom yesterday.

I saw a Podcast (i think) where somebody said Leeds did well in there first season back in the Prem because of the genius of Bielsa being able to squeeze everything from a largely average Championship side. When they finally ran out of juice they collapsed.

McKenna has squeezed the absolute life out of a LEAGUE ONE squad to get them to the Prem and then had the impossible challenge of trying to build a Prem team whilst actually playing the Prem.....for the first time in 22 years.

Impossible.

To add, it's a problem with the football hierarchy as it currently stands rather than the promoted sides themselves. Same with Burnley, Sheffield United and Luton last season.
