Quite likely that the lad wants to try something else at 29 and, let's be honest, a La Liga team that was in the CL this season is absolute dreamland given where he's come from. You'd do that every day of the week, we don't have to self-hate about everything. [Post edited 8 Apr 11:58]

I was just thinking this. Surely no-one really knows what is going on? Maybe we've offered him contracts and he's held out.

Until we know all the facts (unless i;ve missed them) we can't "blame" anyone.
