Discovered on Monday that my next door neighbour had keeled over and passed away on Sunday ( we saw paramedics and then police arrive, so knew something was up). He was a lovely man, 71, active, loved his fishing, and would always have time for natter about the football.
Its really knocked me for six.... his mum had lived with him , but passed away in December at 94, so you always kind of think that "you're from good stock", but you never know when time is up...
The last few years, I've seen a lot of "premature" deaths, and its really reminding me that we only have this time once, so enjoy it whilst you can.

Whenever I hear this song, it reminds me of the time when we were on our way to an away game around the late 80's and it got postponed. Ended up at QPR v Luton or Watford ( my memory is shot).
Just after the final whistle, whilst "Life's what you make it" was blasting out on the tannoy, a mini riot took place in the left hand corner (as you look at the pitch in the away section), where the away and home fans managed to break through the cordon and attack each other.
