Wondering if anyone has good results from the likes of Pinter?

I use the Beer Hawk Perfectdraft and it’s good for lager, IPA and cider but not stout or good bitter.

Any others out there that are very easy with reasonable shelf life?

Thanks in advance ..

Ive used the Pinter twice.... 1st brew was absolute belter, 2nd disappointing as the fresh press brew back didnt seem to mix at the first stage, may have been my fault as i maybe didnt give it enough of a shake at the first stage , fair play to them when i let them know they sent me a new pack which i have yet to start..., both brews were Dark Matter Stout

Very happy with my perfect draft. Though the selection varies a bit and is not as good as it used to be. But then I lean heavily towards belgian and german cold beer...

St Fuillen when they did it. Used to have proper Leffe as well but I cant get a clear answer from them on whether it is still the real stuff. Franziskaner has been good. And Kwak.

Done a few Pinter brews, and the results have been mixed. Have to say, I did one brew of the Space Hopper, and it was one of the best things I have ever tasted, not just beer, but anything. Almost brought a tear to my eye, it was that good. But done other Space Hoppers, not anywhere near as good as. Chasing the dragon. Other types of brew (Brewdog etc) all taste very similar to me. And the app is awful.

Tbh Pinter seems like a way to make very average homebrew. Not really comparable to perfect draft etc.

This suggests quite a good range of Leffe, including Brune which I prefer to Blonde, and that they do originate in Belgium.

EDIT: I've just realised some are out of stock.

I've had a PD machine for about 10 years. Used to love it, but now the cost-cutting measures are coming in, it's less of a draw. Although there's a good range of Leffe, it's not the 'real' Leffe. I.e. it's brewed in the UK now rather than Belgium. We used to get the Belgian-brewed Stella on PD too, which was ten-fold better than the UK-brewed version.

I keep getting grovelling emails from Beer Hawk pleading for my custom again, but it's just not the same anymore.

For me, the best ones I'd recommend for anyone are Spaten (inc. Oktoberfestbier), Lowenbrau (inc. Oktoberfestbier), Franziskaner Royal and Tripel Karmeliet. Of the UK ones, I'd steer anyone towards Clwb Tropicana and Jaipur.

Probably best for me then to carry on buying bottled Belgian beers which are brewed in Belgium.

St Feuillein Brune, from M&S, is my favourite, and a beer which has secondary fermentation in the bottle and so has plenty of gut-friendly bacteria.

I think its still belgian, but it seems to be the neutered 6% stuff they are feeding us in supermarkrts in the uk. Brewed for this market and significantly worse.

No, it's brewed in the UK now. They've got two plants in South Wales and Lancashire for the UK market.

That explains why it is a pale shadow of the real stuff in addition to the recipe change and alcohol reduction.

That's good ol' AB InBev, for you!
