What are the chances they would check ID for ticket collections?

Thoughts welcome.

They usually only ask for the name and address on the tickets.

The one time I bought someone's away ticket from them, I was asked to give the name and address. I didn't know the address so thought I was done for. But they just looked at my phone to check I had the actual confirmation email and that turned out to be enough. I might have just got lucky of course. It was for the league cup vs AFC Wimbledon, maybe PL games are more strictly enforced, I dunno.

I don't know but they did require ID at Man City when my friend forgot his ticket.

I might add that if the person who bought the ticket shows up, I can't imagine they would require ID for anyone else he might have bought tickets for.

Yes, at Man City, I wondered if they were a bit more strict because they wouldn't want an unknown person entering the stadium.

Checking in in an internal flight in Nigeria on a colleagues ticket.

Checkin girl: Mr Popoola?
Me: I am today
Checkin girl: Ok.

That was post 911 too.

Anyhow, did a couple of late pickups last year and both times was asked for name a postcode, no ID requested.

I've picked up away tickets four or five times and every single time they've asked for ID. But yeah, just mine (as I bought them), not every single person's ID - only whoever's Supporter ID was used to buy the tickets.

My son tells me that one of his colleagues got through the Covid test check desk exiting Tocumen airport in Panama by flashing something like a Tesco Clubcard. And at the back end of 2020 I got through with the full Covid test result but they never checked the time (a few hours over the within forty eight hours limit.) Sometimes a bit of front and a confident air gets you there.

And in order not to tempt fate, probably best not to turn up with your mates to collect the tickets.
