Premier League vs all other leagues in Europe 20:54 - May 1 with 728 viewsle2blue

Tonight is showing that the overall quality of the premier league vs every other league is vast. Not surprising given the money involved but United are soo poor as a team and yet are dominating the 4th best team in Spain. The money for 1 or 2 top teams (Barca and Madrid, PSG and Milan) levels the playing field but apart from that the premier league is the super league.

United got out of jail in the last game but there really isn't much in the other top leagues outside of their respective top 3 or 4 clubs.

The secondary UEFA comps are an opportunity for English sides to clean up as the strength in depth of the Prem is huge in comparison.

At the very top table, it's not quite as plain sailing as we'll likely find out when an English club fails to reach the final two years in a row.

Was pretty even at 1-0. The red card has helped United massively.

Truly impaired.

Yep, not sure you can make a sweeping generalization off the back of one match, particularly here when there's a player advantage.

The Premier is generally stronger than La Liga but that's no great surprise given the money involved but the suggestion that a bottom three side of the Premier could compete consistently with a top six side of La Liga is unlikely.

Agreed. Two of the worst Man Utd and Spurs teams in the history of the PL will likely meet in the final and that is a damning indictment of the quality of the top non-Champions League teams in Europe.
