Realistic with the benefit of hindsight I guess, but both about double what we paid aren't they?
Not sure it makes much odds in this case, surely we wouldn't turn down that sort of dough for him anyway. Really hope he stays though, he'll tear up the Champ.

....then it would be proper borderline in terms of how I'd feel about it.
I genuinely think he'd be one of the best players in the Championship next season, but it's a lot of dough.
Depends on the terms I guess, if it's in one lump I doubt anyone would pay it.
But football is mental.
He will be the best player in The Championship and I don't think it's close, but yeah is a tough one. I would be more worried in January if his form is red hot.

Omari is exactly the type of player we should be keeping. We need players that will eventually be PL ready. There's no use having players that are only good in the Championship.
This season Omari has shown he is almost ready to play full time in the PL.

Think some are getting a bit carried away with Omari.
He's a talented boy, but has struggled more times than he has shone this season.
Nothing surprises me with transfers anymore - but he's not a £35m player by any stretch, and hasn't done enough this season to get to that fee.
Think the important thing to note is that, in my opinion, his struggles came during the first third/half of the season. During the second half he's been one of our most important players when available - that's the only issue currently, injuries.
On the whole I think he's improved massively over the season. Early on I felt I was constantly bemoaning how slight he was and how easy it was to knock him off the ball, but that's an element that's seems to have improved a lot.

Omari has had a cracking season and the potential to produce much more is crystal clear, there will be takers if he wants to go.
I'm not sure how def info this is, but apparently his family are really happy with him here and see it as a good pathway for him. You get the sense he's fairly grounded as a lad and might not want an relegation on his CV yet. Or a loan somewhere he has little say in.
I also don't think we are in a position to sell him to fund the rebuild, given we are losing Delap.

McKenna staying is pivotal to that I think. He was the reason we got him on loan and the reason we got him permanently. He and his family really trust him with his development.

As he did last season. Who knows where his ceiling is, when he's been 'on it' and fit this season he's looked more than at home at this level. His ability to get us up the pitch and carry the ball and win territory is hugely valuable, he's technically good and he's quick. He also works incredibly hard out of possession which is something he never quite seems to get the credit for.
2nd only to Delap IMO in the current group in terms of evidently premier league ready. Probably O'Shea 3rd. They're all PL players, I'd love us to keep at least 2 of those for next season but living more in hope than expectation with that one.

When I think of Omari from this season I think of the clip from 0:43 against United. Lovely stuff.
Also a classic bit of Burns wing play. One of the saddest elements of his this season was his injury, he was starting to show his worth after a fairly underwhelming start.
