Apparently it's common for opposition players to sign it. Godfrey did too, but does have a previous link with the club.

It was the quite the party on Goodison Road after the game, around The Winslow Hotel.

This was basically an open house party in a terraced home, and has a tradition of getting players and pundits in to sign a wall in the hall. Liam and Ben Godfrey invited in. Hundreds of signatures. So nothing to do with signing for Everton, and we imagine Everton will be quite some way down the list of suitors.
