hmmmm, not sure that is down to VAR alone. I think Saka missing a completely open goal may have also contributed to that - PSG with some terrific finishing, Arsenal's finishing was horrific, and that is why the French are going into the final

This is my point earlier in the thread that seems to have annoyed some. It is a penalty when following the letter of the law, it really shouldn't be, but it is! Players can't possibly be expected to keep their arms at their sides at all times, it's just not physically possible. Alas, the current interpretation calls it as a pen though!
Just because the opposition didn't appeal doesn't mean it couldn't possibly be a penalty. Also, a penalty offence being missed must count as a clear and obvious error! So I don't see the hate for VAR here. |
