I do think that there is a large desire for particularly devout Muslims to live in an Islamic country, because to truly follow the faith in it's entirety it can't really be done somewhere secular like the UK.

He was born in England, and his mother is English. His Egyptian father moved to England as a very young man. Sam's family is very settled in the UK, so I don't think moving to the ME would be a big influence. If he were to take a move to Saudi, I suspect it's more related to future financial security, and he'd eventually return to the UK. | | | |
