Hirst will be here next season. Delap has played a lot and everyone knows what he can do.
The only way this would make sense IMO is if he's off to Chelsea and they have paid a small premium for us to manage his minutes so he's fresh for the world club cup. |  |

Stupid question, but if he were to pick up an injury that ruled him out until, say, September, surely one of his suitors would still pay the absolute bargain £30m fee anyway?
I appreciate that if it’s Chelsea or, ironically, Man City, they might want him for that club World Cup nonsense, but would it be a deal breaker? |  |

Delap , presumable along with Philogene &+Hutchinson, likely to be in England U21 Squad for UEFA U21 finals in Slovakia between 11-28 June.
Accepting he is leaving the sooner things are finalised the better. We will have signings to make this summer and Ashton needs to know for certain how big a pot of cash he has avsilable. |  |
