Oh for the days when we could just switch on the TV and watch the matches. They then moved them to YouTube, cutting off the games to the less tech savvy. Now we are required to register and download an app, if we can, to see them on TV. I won't bother.
So you can still watch them for free, you just can’t be bothered to download an app in order to do so. Plenty of football things to moan about but this isn’t one of them.

dagnabit footballs not been the same since they moved it from the cinema, where you could watch a 3min highlight reel in black & white, only mere weeks after the game actually happened.

These are the people that as it stands are going to replace 40 years of free to air coverage of the Tour de France on C4/ITV with a £31.99 a month subscription from 2026. I certainly won't be logging on to watch their coverage of any European Finals free or otherwise.
