If delap signs for united..its definitely for the money !! on 08:41 - May 22 by flykickingbybgunn | I read an article about the use of the semi colon ( ; ). As I understand it it is for joining two sentences together that are on the same subject. So I have just used it on my previous post. I dont think I will bother again |

If delap signs for united..its definitely for the money !! on 16:14 - May 22 with 404 views | OldFart71 | I would have thought Delap would seek advice from his father and anyone who knows the ins and outs of Utd. I personally think Arsenal would be a better bet. They are far more stable than Utd and have more chance of winning something and I would have thought wages wise they wouldn't be hugely different. Utd would want instant success and whilst one of Arsenal's failures has been goal scoring they don't need to get rid of the number of players that Utd do. I would also question how successful Delap has been this season. 12 goals and 2 assists but he hasn't scored for quite a few games or put in dominating performances, albeit with a team that has struggled all over the pitch. I hope for his sake the success he has had won't stunt what is a promising but far from developed career. From another point of view clubs buying him at £30 million aren't in today's crazy money taking a huge risk.

If delap signs for united..its definitely for the money !! on 11:28 - May 22 by _clive_baker_ | Its absolutely shambolic mismanagement and recruitment. If they had cobbled it together on a shoe string you could be more understanding, but the money they've spent over the last few seasons to go so far backwards is absolutely remarkable. Hojland £65m Mount £55m Onana £40m Casemiro £60m Antony £80m Yoro £50m Zirkzee £35m Sancho £70m Not to mention the salaries. Casemiro is on £300k a week and he can't run. |
They still owe clubs £300m for players..

As you say crazy money. If you add players like Pogba at £90 million who hardly had a decent game for Man Utd that just shows the total waste of money they have made. When the likes of Beckham came along you also had Butt, Giggs and the Neville brothers for zero money. But just like many teams these days all of whom want instant success both by owners and fans the amount of truly home grown players has diminished. For teams like ITFC although still having to pay a fair wedge for players can't compete and even if they could financial wise would no doubt miss out if a bigger club was interested in that player. It therefore means our scounting needs to be top notch along with the bringing on of young players.

If Delap joined them and spearheaded a resurgence of sorts he would be hero up there. They still have massive pull for prospective players. Wherever he ends up he'll be set for life anyway.

Why are they not going to fall further? If they put all their eggs in the Delap basket and he didn't hit the ground running, which is quite possible given his youth, rawness and what we've seen in the second half of the season, he could be partly the reason they fall further!
| Trust the process. Trust Phil. |

But i agree, i'm not anywhere near as worried about losing mckenna as i was last summer. |
I think his playing career reputation contributed more to him getting the job at Bayern than his management of Burnley did.
