It’s not really tinpot at all. Man Utd made 10M on that tour not including added on merchandise sales etc and it probably needed next-to-no effort by their players who didn’t want to be there.
But, they didn’t sell-out which must be a bit of a worry for them - a couple more poor seasons and they’ll become more of an irrelevance with that particular cash cow fully milked.

A bus parade through Kula Lumpar is 100% tinpot. The tour is not but tbe parade is.
