But good to see a proper grilling. I've listened to numerous such interviews, especially on the World Service, and that is the first time I have seen an Israeli spokesperson properly challenged.

A Grim Poll Showed Most Jewish Israelis Support Expelling Gazans. It's Brutal - and It's True
A new survey showing that 82 percent of Jewish Israelis support the expulsion of Gazans was met with disbelief among those who stubbornly believe that the extremists are outliers. But these trends are as consistent as they are shocking

I imagine the Israeli authorities won’t be allowing that sort of thing to happen again..
Utterly unbelievable how they are systematically going about their own re-enactment of genocide, without any meaningful consequence or intervention from governments in UK or Europe.
I still maintain the belief that Israel will, eventually face retribution for this hideous shift in their behaviour, arrogance and unshakeable belief that the world owes them a free hit.
I don’t think history will be quite so understanding, sympathetic and obliging second time round.

I tend not to get too involved in these discussions, as it's just horrifying on so many levels and I don't really have the words, but I find it frankly unbelievable that Israel have been able to do what they have without any repercussions.
None of that excuses what Hamas did on October 7th, and I have no idea what they hoped to achieve with their actions that day, but the continued response from Israel is sickening alongside the seeming global indifference (from governments and media) to each new atrocity that is carried out.
I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun.
I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.
The piece on those protesting against the mainstream narrative within Israel and the hostility they face was powerful too.
What were the words from a couple of passers-by when they saw the silent, peaceful protest about the dead Gazan kids...."fatten them up like pigs, then slaughter them"
Yeah right - these people have no compassion or morals. Disgusting how that israeli spokesperson bring out the your anti-semitic card and scarmbles around trying to make mud stick and deny the truth
Superb interviewing by a journalist who would not be cowed by a representative of a now rogue criminal genocidal govt

What the feck do you do with a country in which 82% of the population are pro the ethnic cleansing of their neighbours?

Palestinians killed while seeking aid is clearly 'a lie spread by terrorists'..
There were armed gangs (not Hamas, apparently) trying to steal the aid, who may have been responsible for some of the deaths, but the IDF also claimed that some Palestinians strayed off the permitted path (love that!) and moved towards them 'in a threatening way', which is why they shot at them.

The IDF has not provided any evidence for that, apart from a video showing a lone gunman at a different location.

Stop selling them fcking arms for a start.
This week's Private Eye reports that Starmer's government ramped up military supplies to Israel towards the end of last year.
To quote the article.
"Latest government figures show exports of controlled military good to Israel increased from less than £30,000 in the first quarter of 2024 to £127.6 million in the final quarter - more than the Conservatives signed of in their last three years in power.
Just over half were intended for Israel's defence industry and half for the military".
