I think she's bang to rights.

Even if a lot of the evidence is circumstantial, there are just too many coincidences for her to explain away. Her safe dinner being on a different plate feels particularly damning.

I hope the jury feels that way as well.

Yes, that is pretty obvious isn't it. However, I was chatting to a lawyer friend about it who said that there needs to be some more solid evidence as proof of intent.

I just can't work out her motive although the Judge has said there needn't be one if intent can be proved.

As I said it's a fascinating case.

Weren't the mushrooms she used out-of-season, so 'allegedly' she picked them months before, then used a device to dry them out to preserve them...the device she subsequently dumped at a recycling centre days or weeks later?
