Would seem odd unless he had doubts about becoming a manager/head coach?

Surely being number 1 at Brentford would pay more than being assistant at spurs? Plus the fact you're the gaffer and have the opportunity to manage in the EPL

So if McKenna goes to Brentford he would be taking a job turned down by the man who chose to be No 2 at Tottenham. Do you think McKenna would have taken the assistant job at Tottenham having already held a similar job at Man Utd? Neither do I.

I think the real issue is whether there's actually a job for him to go to. Otherwise it's just pure speculation!
