Signings Required as it stands 11:26 - Jun 27 with 2681 viewsbluesbrothers

1 x RB to replace Axel
1 x CB to replace Burgess
2 x CM to replace Cajuste and Luongo
1 x ST to replace Delap

On top of that we could need (based on some departure rumblings):
1 x CB to replace Woolfy
2 x CM to replace Morsy and Taylor
1 x ST to replace AAH (unless SS becomes accepted as the third ST?)

What have I missed?

In terms of names to replace them...
1 x RB to replace Axel - WOULDN'T HAVE A CLUE
1 x CB to replace Burgess - WOULDN'T HAVE A CLUE
2 x CM to replace Cajuste and Luongo - CAJUSTE, REED, DOWNES all been mentioned
1 x ST to replace Delap - GUIU THE ONLY DECENT NAME LINKED

I will add to this – we will need a right winger/forward. I hope I am proved wrong but, given the injury context, I sense anyone who thinks Ogbene and Burns is going to be enough on that side may have an unpleasant surprise.

How much do you think we’ll have to spend on fees? If we’re going to get quality in then it’ll cost.

I don't think we need much. A new RB would be nice, but not essential as we have Johnson, Clarke and even Woolfy or O'Shea. CM is where we should be splashing the cash. 2 quality CMs will make us very serious title contenders. A new CF is obviously needed, but would like Hirst to at least start the season as our main CF.
We have enough quality in the front positions with Ogbene, Philogene, Burns, Szmodics, Chaplin, Broadhead and Clarke all more than good enough.
Think we will sign 5 or 6, but not sure we need starters (except CM)

Ogbene looked very good in the little time we saw of him. I am happy if he starts RW for us. I think many have forgotten just how good he is. Burns as back up is totally acceptable at Championship level. Most would take him as their main RW.

I like Ogbene and Burns but i guess the question is how they come back from their injuries and even if they come back strongly then can they stay fit. Aside from them we’ve got Hutchison, Philogene and Johnson who can play the same position. I’m pretty sure pretty much any championship team would kill for those options.

The signings we made last season have strengthened us considerably from 2 seasons ago. Whilst I think top 2 will still be tough, we have a squad already that most sides would die for. CM is our biggest worry and would like us to make sure that we get that right. A stronger Midfield last season would have given us a fighting chance of staying up. 2 of quality are a must if we are going all out for top 2.
