Well....its not dull watching the Lionesses. 22:50 - Jul 22 with 742 viewshomer_123

Everyone can learn something from the way they go about themselves.

Their attitude, application, effort and mentality is something else.

Agree 100%. There's something missing from the Men's game, that disappeared a long while ago now, but it's there with the Women.

Yes I thought that. There were a couple of 50/50 decisions that went against them when 1-0 down and a small amount of added time left and they didn't whinge at the ref and played on. A truly sporting team.

I think a lot of it stems from how Wiegman manages the group, but also the fact there are so many leaders on the pitch.

Not one of those players hid out there, even when things are not working for them they keep going, and have this amazing belief that they will not lose.

Not forgetting the sheer physical fitness of players like Bronze, Hemp and Toone. Watch the penalty and see how Toone sprinted in from about 10-15 yards outside the box, just in case of a rebound.

Overall the quality of football from the Lionesses has been poor but the spirit and commitment has been exceptional. I’m hoping they’re saving the football quality for the final.

I know it’s fashionable to use successes of the Lionesses to bash the men’s side but it’s not dissimilar to the Euro 2024 though is it?

Neither at their best throughout the tournament but finding ways to scrape through. For England in this tournament there was last night and Sweden on pens, in Euro 2024 we had Bellingham’s late equaliser against Slovenia, pens v Switzerland and Watkins late winner against the Dutch

Just remains to be seen if they can get a different outcome in the final, hopefully they will 🤞🏻

I hate the constant comparisons between men's and women's football - whichever way it is sided.

However, I think that any team in any sport that has the 'never say die' attitude and confidence to not hide when they are playing poorly should be looked at and learned from.

One thing I would say is that, whilst there are senior pros in the Lionesses squad, there doesn't seem to be too many big egos. Belief in one's ability is different to belief in one's own hype. Perhaps that is an advantage that the Lionesses have, being less exposed to celebrity status until very recently.

I will watch with interest to see if that changes, as Women's football becomes more mainstream.
