Williams will be 25 in about six weeks time. Bit late for mentoring. He had his chance. He might be bargain bin cheap for all I know, but it’s a definite no from me. I don’t quite get this hankering for ex players, especially ones with, how can I put it, ‘issues’. Move on.

It's never too late for somebody to learn. It feels with Brandon from what I've read that there is a good person in there, he's just made some bad decisions in his life. We've all done that, though most are at not at his level and so public

It wasn’t his first offence so the difference is that not everyone repeats the ‘mistakes’ they make or drive at 99mph having enjoyed the contents of a party balloon.

I am no puritans or anybody’s judge - I’ve done some truly rubbish things with the best of them. I hope he has moved on and I hope he goes on to make something of his career. I just hope it isn’t at this club in the same way Man Utd didn’t want it at their’s.

I think Williams is something of a fool. He's nearly thrown away a promising career & at 24 he needs to sort himself out. He needs to get away from Manchester, where he clearly fell in with the wrong crowd, but that didn't make much difference to Ravel Morrison. Theoretically, Suffolk would be ideal, but why would anyone offer more than a cheap, pay & play contract to such a character.
