Nice team they got there.

Tanganga, Doughty, De Norre and then a Big strikeforce of Coburn and Ivanovic who is absolutely superb.

Got a great shot at a top 6 finish.

Poll: Will Paul Lambert be Ipswich Town manager on the final day of this season ?

I wonder if we go for Ivanovic, he is just what we need ?

Thats a top signing. Always considered that he would be a decent replacement for Leif when the inevitable happens. I think there is plenty of room for improvement too. Unfortunately, we woukdnt offer him enough football to have him in the building now and Townsend works/ fits the bill.

....apparently, plus a couple of other European clubs.

£15m.

Possibly Tanganga too.

Saw a bit of him last year. He was overweight not fit at all.

He’s ok, nothing special.

Interesting. I didnt see so much of him last year. So I'm basing it on what I saw in the PL. I think I even remember speculation about an England call-up (that was probs way off that though)..

I'll take your word for his apparent fall-off!! - just had a quick google and it appears hes originally from round that way too so seems to look a good move for all.

He would be absolutely perfect for us.

But he would cost a good whack. He would also be wanting to come in and start every week in the Champ. So where does that leave Hirst. Would fully expect us to be in for him if we went up and Millwall stayed down if he has another good season.

Tough to recruit that striker when we cannot guarantee them to start every week. A loanee makes sense in that regard, we clearly like Guiu. I am still keen on Kone at Wycombe. Think he would be a great option for us behind Hirst but also good enough to start games.

£15m apparently and Wolves seem interested

If they lose Strand Larsen (saw some loose links to Newcastle) That would make sense

Ivanpvic looks promising, but I don;t know how good he is technically. We clearly need an other decent striker, especially with 46 league games & Hirst's injury record. I think a player like Ivanovic would get plenty of game time at Town & we would be seen a likely promotion challengers, while Millwall are realistically bang average Championship who might just fluke their way into the play offs.
