As much as I love him, it makes perfect sense to sell, much like it would if a good offer came in for Burns or Chaplin.
Players like this are understudies to players younger than they are with a higher ceiling.

I could be going mad here, but I'm sure there was a press conference around October/November last year where McKenna was questioned as to when Broadhead will be back fit and he said he had been fit and training for a number of weeks, but hadn't made the 20 man squad. |  |

Indeed, and that was before we'd signed Philogene. If everyone is fit, Broadhead doesn't get minutes. Clarke and Philogene are both ahead of him on that left hand side. He got minutes second half of the season because we had so many out injured. That doesn't mean he's not a good player, but clearly his time here looks to be up. | |
