Ashton moved on player contract negotiations etc to werhun when he moved upstairs on the ceo/chairman capacity. I was just wondering really if he'd be tempted to take back that aspect. | |

Yeah just chilling on beach. Read my mags now just passing the time :) bloody hot tho. 31 today. Went in sea earlier. Never seen fish in it close to the sand here in Bulgaria before but came across a few today was lovely. Altho sht myself when I thought I saw a jellyfish. Wife reckons It wasn't but it was shaped like one. | |

Plus we don't have the financial clout and attractiveness factor which got similar signings over the line last summer. We don't have the advantageous position regarding our rivals and top overseas clubs. We still found it hard, even then (c.f. Fotis Ioannidis). |  |

I think it was one of the fan forums where either he or Luke Werhun said that Luke had taken on a lot of the day to day work on deals. They've been working as a pair for a very long time though and I don't think it's a case of Werhun being inexperienced here. I'm sure that Ashton is also involved in any key decisions. |  |

Recruitment has been a real failure this summer, even last summer, not buying a CM player and loaning both was a risk and put us in this position. Fully expecting us to lose the two opening games which I find really concerning as I’m usually excited and optimistic about every game we play in..
I still don’t understand why we allowed Morsy to go on a free, without 100% guaranteed having the players in that position set! We have signed 1 CM and lost 4 from last year due to 2 being loans.. that is a failure on recruitment with the first game being 5 days out. | | | |
