Transfers 14:55 - Aug 8 with 923 views | BlacknGoldnBlue | While we await the outcome of the prolonged transfer of Akpon, but have at least confirmed the protracted transfer of Cajuste, it amazes me how deals get completed on transfer deadline day in a matter of hours. Is it purely because it's against the clock, or is there a fast-track system? How come international clearance can seem to take a day or two apart from deadline day? Is there a simple answer or is it one of lifes mysteries ( I suspect simple answer)

The 'deal sheet' is mad. All that times then they need a couple of extra hours. One thing I always think is odd is when a club bid for someone abroad with about 2 hours left. Unless it's just to make the fans think they tried like when we suddenly had a bid accepted by Portsmouth after chasing Ward, Pearce and the other guy for a whole window.

Transfers on 16:39 - Aug 8 with 311 views | Axeldalai_lama | Can't some of the international paperwork be done post deadline day as long as the nuts and bolts of it has been done and submitted? Or something? I could be wrong but I assumed it was more like exchange and completion on a house sometimes. Everything has to be in place on one day, but it may not be all 110 percent completed until a day or two later. Hence international deals happening across Europe on deadline day.
