Birmingham taking over 7,000 to Blackburn on 15:49 - Aug 11 with 935 views | RIPbobby | 7000 is impressive, but lots of potential for wrong uns going. If it doesn't go their way they may got on the wrong side of the EFL a lot quicker than I expected. Lol

Birmingham taking over 7,000 to Blackburn on 15:54 - Aug 11 with 896 views | Bobbychase | Before an urban myth develops about Birmingham being well supported, not so long ago their average crowd was hovering around the 16,500 mark. In the late 80s/early 90s it dropped below 10,000. They were rubbish then but even so - UK's second biggest city and all that.

With about a dozen league teams not much more than half an hour away.

They're pretty similar to us since their last relegation I think? None of our average attendances started with a 2 between 2010 and 2020, I think that's correct? So we only started getting big numbers again post game changer.

We're a small market town and never claim to be massive, that's the difference. They get roughly the same crowds as us yet talk as if we're some footballing backwater and they're a sleeping giant. History doesn't bear that out in crowd terms.

No we are not lol We are historic team and the only one in the county. Suffolk has a population of about 800k doesn't it? Most of North Essex supports us as well. Both clubs were run terribly and had little to shout about and have been revived. They have always been second fiddle to Villa let's be honest.
