Our benchmark is Fernandes from Southampton IMO. Both played two full seasons of mens football, both 21. Fernandes had 4 assists and 2 goals last year, Omari had 3 goals and 2 assists.
If they value Fernandes at between 50/ 60M then we would be mad to consider even close to 35.
On this deal specifically, I think it's likely a PSR deal. Villa get 40M 'pure profit' for a squad payer that they could get more for but this gives them the chance to be more active in the market.
You also have to consider the type of player Omari might be in 3 years when he is 24. Certainly could be much better than a villa squad player.
