Haven't seen any of the game, but I'm assuming it was rocking there.

Not to do ourselves down or Portman Road in general, and it was electric by our standards against Liverpool last year, but it's not the Stadium of Light in terms of atmosphere when the home fans are up for it.

I think teams enjoyed coming to our place last season, partly because we try to play football which suits most teams, but it's also a nice big pitch and a relatively kind home crowd.

Not a criticism, but seeing Sunderland get an early win and do well (if they continue to) shouldn't be a massive surprise. They're a bigger club if we're honest.

*Not a meltdown.

Poll: Pick a goal to win the derby in stoppage time...

I would suggest that Sunderland winning 3-0 is less down to their fans and more the fact they were playing a West Ham side who have lost a lot of their goals from last year and not really replaced them.

Good for Sunderland but a home start against one of the better sides could have been different.

I for one am glad that one of the promoted sides has won early, PL really does not need to see all promoted sides relegated again for a 3rd straight year.

Sunderland fans also leave on 60 mins when losing.

West Ham seem ideal opponents for a newly promoted club. Will be interesting to see if Sunderland can maintain the form against other clubs. Their approach to building their team for the season, from a pretty low base given they weren't particularly close to going up automatically, looks pretty decent to me.
