A good point that 15:59 - Aug 17 with 520 views | Mullet | Both sides are probably coming away feeling they should have nicked it, that ref was hapless and biased beyond belief against them. Both will be fancying a quick return to the Prem with a bit of luck and some movement in the window too. I love being back at PR, had a great view in my mates seat etc and after being at Brum this felt more like the season is underway. You can see how much quality has been sapped from our sales, and replacing it is imperative. I thought we took the lead and then sat back for 25-30 mins. Fernandes really stood out for me as their best player, he seemed to play wherever Taylor wasn’t. Likewise I don’t get the hate for Downes, but how he didn’t get booked at least six times was weird, especially when two of them were handballs and the ref seemed to love a card for dissent. Leif and Jaden really impressed me at times and once Matusiwa gets up to speed I think we will really damage teams. Johnson does some solid work and one brain fart aside he’s going to change a few minds. I thought saints were weaker than the sum of their parts and for such a strong team on paper, they didn’t really show it. Big up Blue Action. Lovely stuff

Nice to see Chaplin's quick brain working a few times and Ogbene running stronger. Interplay with Davis and Philogene developing, Hirst looks the dogs' and such a pity he didn't finish his little run. Szmodics could easily be on 3 goals for the season and Taylor has got his head on two good chances. Light in obvious areas and I worry about Palmer's footwork a d distribution aswell as Greaves going AWOL at times. Johnson much better than against Brum. Clarke needs to be given the ball earlier so he has some space to drive at teams. Right now he is a rather forlorn figure.

They were happy to get out of dodge with a point, overall pleased to be unbeaten but win today would have done a lot for us, a shame as thought we just about deserved it.

Palmer seems a real weak link at the minute and has got away a few times with some poor decisions. Hopefully it’s a form issue etc Loved Young coming on going straight to Ogbene and clearly telling him to stay on the line. He then picked him out more than once and put us on the front foot.
