In the meantime, they changed manager (the second coming of Mike Walker?) and he signed a contract for them, this time with the correct date on.
The Football League were called upon to sort it out. And as their contract was dated earlier than ours, they decided he should stay with them. |  |

John Deehan and Clive Baker were both decent for us (apart from when Baker got lobbed stood on his line). |  |

Crook was 33 when he agreed to join us & subsequent events would indicate that Norwich had let his contract run down for a reason. Hardly much of a "coup". He only agreed to join Town as he didn't want to uproot his family from the area. |  |
