Agree the Furlong signing is underwhelming, but only two of them are nailed on starters, 3 of the best defence from a couple years ago being backups isnt too shabby. | | | |

- Townsend's looked class to be fair and was very cheap, the injury is just bad luck but ultimately he wont play for us again.
- Kipre is on loan.
- O'Shea is quality.
- Palmer cost £2m which in this market is peanuts for a pretty solid and reliable Champ keeper. We'll need better at some stage but could get our money back on him tomorrow.
- Furlong is about £1m too much at £3.5m but he's solid and reliable, got a few good years left in him too. Its not sexy but I don't mind it. |  | | |
