He's then got his entire life to live knowing that he's got no club which a fanbase which remembers him fondly, no invites to reunions when he's 70, no invites on fan podcasts.

When I was in my 30s, and we were playing at home to Arsenal in the Prem, me and my missus were staying with friends in Norwich. It was a lovely sunny day and I wore my Ipswich replica top and walked though the city centre to the station to get the train to the game. I got dogs abuse from a few six fingered locals. I will take that to my grave.
