Two crappy Championship teams have done a job on us whatever their tactics, we’ve got to put teams to the sword when we have a chance.
McAteer and Hirst first touch was terrible today, it’s obviously early but I’m glad we gave Egeli over the line after seeing that. Hirst absolutely has to score to make that 2-1 as well in games like this. He had more time all day than he thought. He’s had a poor start to the season and is far from guaranteed his place. Philogene second half was one to forget, weak in the tackle and not beating players, you don’t pay 23M for that. Not sure if we need open games for some of these guys to thrive like that have done at this level before but they need to be unlocked.
Giving that to Jack Clarke with Szmodics on the pitch was an interesting call, could have ended his Ipswich career right there lol. Good pen, thought he’d miss.
Oh boy, just a very rough start to the season and could have easily been 3 defeats out of 4, let’s be honest.
By the end it just a team of random individuals on the pitch.

In isolation that result against a team unwilling to play any football would be fine. It’s football after all and you can’t win every game.
The problem is that Bromley, Preston and Derby have broadly all played the same way and we’ve been utterly unable to defend against it properly or create any real chances. |  | | |

Right now we can’t win any game and it’s showing, until that’s lifted that, especially at home there is going to be a huge edginess around us. It’s a really bad result especially when you consider where the game was at HT. | |

Yep another very negative aspect of today and it’s how championship teams score a lot of goals. We are basically being undone by crap teams at both ends of the pitch.
Going to be a very interesting two months if we don’t win very soon. | |
