The good, the bad and the ugly 17:34 - Aug 30 with 666 viewsunstableblue

The good:

Azor and Cajuste were at times very very good
For second part of the first half we played some good stuff and carved chances
Chaplin had good moments
Greaves brought the ball out well

The bad:
Hirst was poor
McAteer was poor

The ugly:
The ref
The blatant penalty not given which would have changed everything
The unbelievable sh!thousery from Derby
Travis kick out

I thought McAteer was alright. The other poor player on the pitch today, alongside Hirst, was O'Shea. Utter liability and cost us the win.

I really really really do not like O'Shea under those long high balls. He gets caught under them far too often.

I thought McAteer was fine. He’s like a more reliable defensive Burns. Maybe not so good attacking but not massively off.

OShea is a good player

He just tried to be too clever, I think he thought he could chest it down and find space to break the lines with them having numbers forward

He just needed to head clear

Not sure he’s better defensively than Burns ?

Mcateer had the ball in so many good positions in the first half and wasted almost all of them. Looks like he could be a solid squad player but I’m hoping Egeli can give us some much needed X Factor.

Poll: Will Paul Lambert be Ipswich Town manager on the final day of this season ?
